Where to find your Zoom recording
Cloud recordings live in your Zoom account under Recordings → Cloud Recordings — but you don't need to download anything: choose the cloud import option above, connect Zoom, and pick the meeting directly.
Local recordings are saved on the computer that recorded the meeting, in the Documents → Zoom folder. Zoom stores a video file (.mp4) and an audio-only file (.m4a) for every session. If you only need the transcript, upload the smaller .m4a — it processes faster and the transcript is identical.
Once processed, every word is searchable, each speaker is labelled, and you can export the transcript as TXT, DOCX, SRT or share it with a link.
