Look, AI apps, as incredible and life-changing as they can be, they can also be very expensive, like really expensive.

I saw a great YouTube video recently showcasing the best AI apps out there, so I priced up how much a subscription to each of them would cost, and I found that if you bought all of their cheapest plans, it would still cost you over $200 a month.

So I decided to spend a few weeks testing out all of the free apps that I could find.

And I don't mean AI apps that have a limited free trial with limited amounts of credits.

I mean, free AI apps that have a free plan forever.

I managed to find 108 of them, and these were my favorites.

App 1, Immerse, a free AI image search engine.

Let's say I'm browsing Etsy and I see that surfing posters are popular, which inspires me to make my own surfing poster to sell.

Well, I'd save 1 of the popular poster images and upload it into Immerse.

Now it's gonna search the internet and uses AI technology to find similar, but different free images with royalty free licenses that I'm allowed to download and use in my own poster.

App 2, Toontap, a free AI cartoon filter app.

This is just a simple AI phone app that turns photo portraits into incredible cartoons, such as turning photos of you into a Disney Pixar character.

Outside of being fun, there are lots of helpful uses for this.

For example, cartoon portraits have really high click-through rates when used in thumbnails on YouTube.

And just a quick note on ToonTap as well, when you register, they do make you sign up for a free trial to their pro account.

Just cancel it and you'll get moved into their free account with ads.

I also tried out these other free apps if you wanna give them a go and see if you prefer their results.

App 3, watermarkremover.io, a free watermark remover app.

So 1 of the disadvantages of free AI image apps is that they often give you a picture with a watermark.

Like this free image I downloaded while testing out 1 of the other cartoon apps, ToonMe.

Well, I just uploaded it to watermarkremover.io and I was able to remove the watermark for free.

You can also try out the other free apps that I tried out too.

App 4, Lumen5, a free text to video editor.

You upload a video script and then the app will use it to generate a video for you by combining free stock videos with text.

And you can also edit and tweak it, such as switching out and picking new video clips and changing out the music and changing out how the video scenes look.

Plus, you can make mobile videos and full screen videos too.

I really like the fact that Lumen 5 lets you make unlimited free videos, but you might also wanna check out these other free apps as well.

App 5, Canva, a free AI photo editing app.

All right, so spoiler alert, long-term subscribers know I absolutely love Canva.

I use it for a lot more than just photo editing.

But my biases aside, I truly believe that it's the best free AI app for it.

Using their AI technology, with the click of a button, you can turn any photo into different styles of artwork, and you can also apply a huge range of different photo filters.

And you can also use their AI technology to enhance your photos too.

Using the new magic eraser tool, you can paint over anything that you want to remove in a photo and Canva's AI will edit it out.

And using the new magic edit tool, you can paint over anything in a photo and ask the Canva AI to replace it with a new image.

It's insane that these are included currently in their free account.

You can also try out these other AI photo editing apps to see which 1 that you personally prefer.

App 6, Erase.bg, a free AI background remover.

Now here's the thing, while Canva does have a really great AI background remover tool, it is sadly not included in their free account.

But that's okay, because you can just use erase.bg to remove it for you, and then download the file in the same resolution that you uploaded it in.

I love that they didn't require me to sign up while also giving me such a great edit in high resolution.

But I'll be honest, each app gave me very different results.

So I highly recommend trying out all of the free apps and seeing which 1 you prefer the results for.

At 7, Clipchamp, a free automatic video editor.

Clipchamp is a free video editing app that has an automatic video editor.

You drop in the video files and choose what type of video you want it to make.

You can choose to make a mobile video or a full screen video and select your music, Clipchamp will then automatically generate a video montage for you.

Clipchamp also has a range of different video filters that it can apply with its AI technology, plus it can also use its AI to remove the background of a video for you.

And its AI technology can even auto-generate video captions, which does save a lot of time.

You can also check out these other free AI-powered video apps that I tried out and see which 1 has the filters and the special features that you like the most.

So Character AI has a lot of different characters that you can talk to, including celebrities like Elon Musk and made up characters like Mario.

Probably the 2 most popular ways to use it though is to firstly, use it as an assistant.

Yes, you can use ChatGPT to do that, but on Character AI, you can have an assistant that both answers your questions and does so in a chatty way, almost as though you had someone next to you helping you.

But the second way that people like to use it is to use it as a free therapist.

I was pretty amazed at how not only could you ask the AI therapist questions, but they would ask you questions back, just like real life therapy, except unlike real life therapy, this 1 was free.

These were the other ones that I also tried out.

A lot of them specialize in a particular type of thing.

So some specialize in companionship while some specialize in just making you laugh.

App 9, Sable Diffusion, a free AI art app.

Sable Diffusion is easily my favorite free AI art app out there.

However, to use it, you have to install it.

You can use your own computer if it's powerful enough, or you can install it on something like Google Collab.

And I'll be honest, installing it is a technical process.

I highly recommend following a free YouTube tutorial video that simplifies the installation process.

But if you don't wanna have to go through that process, I understand, I would recommend then using Blue Willow.

But I'll be honest, even though stable diffusion and Blue Willow are very powerful, Midjourney is still easily the best app for creating artwork to sell.

App 10, Replicate, a free image upscaler.

So 1 of the downsides of using stable diffusion generated pictures as a print is that the resolution is too low, which is why I used Replicate, which can increase the resolution of an image for free.

The AI technology will resize it, using its intelligence to add in extra pixels to upscale it without reducing the quality.

And so now if I were to print it, it would print in high resolution, which is very cool.

Do keep in mind though, that every time you use an AI image upscaler, it does have the potential to create image glitches, which is why you might also wanna check out these other free ones to see which 1 gives you the results that you prefer.

App 11, Brand Crowd, a free brand name generator.

Whether you're starting a new business or a new YouTube channel, coming up with a brand name can be hard, but you can just describe to brand crowd what your brand will be about and it will use its AI technology to generate a bunch of names for you.

You can also try out the other ones that I tried.

I noticed that some of them use keywords instead to generate brand names.

It's really just a personal preference, which 1 you prefer.

App 12, BigSpeak AI, a free text-to-speech app.

With a free account, you can type in up to 8, 000 characters and then choose a male or female voice and it will generate it as an AI voiceover for you that you can download for free.

And the male voice it generates actually reminds me a lot of the AI voiceover that this successful YouTube Shorts channel uses for their videos.

But I'll be honest, I was a bit disappointed in what was available for free AI voiceover apps.

MicMonster did have more voices available, but they limit you to 300 characters each time you use it.

So depending on your needs, you might prefer that.

App 13, DeepAI, a free AI image restoration app.

So using this app, you can upload all black and white photos that you have and Deep AI will add color to it for you for free, no signup required.

You can also use the enhanced tool, which will remaster the photo as well.

And check it out, this is a black and white photo next to a restored photo.

I think it's astonishing that this is now free technology.

And you can also try out these other free apps that I used as well.

They each recolored photos slightly differently, so you might wanna check them all out and see which 1 you prefer.

App 14, TinEye, a free reverse image search engine.

So if you are a long time subscriber, you will know that I absolutely love TinEye.

So let's say I found a poster on Etsy that was popular with customers.

What I would do is I would save and download that picture and then I'd re-upload it to TinEye.

Now TinEye will use its AI technology to find other websites where this picture has been uploaded to, and you can also search for specific websites to see if it's been uploaded to it.

And doing that, I was able to find that this picture originally came from Pixabay, and it's a public domain photo that I too would be able to use and potentially resell.

There are lots of other apps out there that do this too really well.

It's really just down to which interface you prefer.

At 15, ChatGPT, the best free copywriter.

Look, I know that ChatGPT needs no introduction.

If you have somehow never seen this before, you just open it up and ask it to write to you anything you want about any topic.

And yes, you can pay to upgrade and it is a good investment, but all things considered, the free version is still insane.

And it is insane that it's still free and I don't believe it's gonna stay free.

And when you can no longer get it for free, you should try these other apps instead.

And also, by the way, I have a free YouTube tutorial video showing how to use the free version of ChatGPT to create products to sell for a profit online.

No subscriptions, no cost required to do this.

If you're interested in seeing my video, I'll have a link to it in the description.

You just paste into the app a paragraph of information and Fillout's AI will analyze the text and then generate a quiz from it and host it on their website.

You don't have to come up with the questions yourself.

You can then just share the quiz and people can take it.

You can change its layout and add in different widgets and modify its design for free.

Businesses sometimes use these quizzes as a form of lead generation, and obviously it's great for teachers and tutors, and you can also try out these other quiz makers too.

App 17, AI Text Classifier, a free AI checker.

Ah, yes, we now have AI checking whether things are created by AI.

But yes, AITextClassifier is a free AI checker by OpenAI.

I pasted into it some of my script I had personally written for this video, and yep, it knew it was likely written by a human.

The biggest downside to it though, is that it requires a thousand characters at least, which is about 150 to 250 words on average.

So you might prefer these other AI checkers instead.

App 18, Grammar Check, a free AI proofreader.

You just paste in some text and the proofreading app will then do a grammar and spelling check for you and it'll fix any errors.

And you can also paste the text into the paraphrasing tool and it will take the text and massively reduce it down to a much smaller amount of text without removing any information.

And the summarizing tool can also very quickly generate bullet points from text as well.

The biggest downside though was that every single app I checked had a character or word limit, so I recommend just registering for them all.

App 19, Let's Foodie, a free recipe generator.

You just type in the ingredients you have lying around your kitchen or that you want to use up and it will generate a personalized recipe for you to try.

It's a really great way to use up random leftover food that you have in your fridge.

And you can also try out these other recipe generators as well to see which 1 makes the food that you like the most.

App 20 Soundful, a free AI music generator.

You just create a free account and then pick a genre of music.

If you don't like it, you can just click to create a new preview and now a new song will be generated.

And once you have a song that you like, you can make changes to it, such as slowing it down or speeding up the beat.

Soundful has, in my opinion, the best free license right now for content creators, which is why they won for me.

And you can try out these other free ones as well.

Just be sure to check the licensing rules for their free accounts.

Now, I personally think that it's absolutely insane that we can generate new music now with the click of a button.

AI technology is just absolutely life-changing.

The biggest downside to it though, is that it requires a thousand characters at least, which is about 150 to 250 words on average. So you might prefer these other AI checkers instead. I really liked how easy this was to use. You just paste in some text and the proofreading app will then do a grammar and spelling check for you and it'll fix any errors. And you can also paste the text into the paraphrasing tool and it will take the text and massively reduce it down to a much smaller amount of text without removing any information. And the summarizing tool can also very quickly generate bullet points from text as well. The biggest downside though was that every single app I checked had a character or word limit, so I recommend just registering for them all.

App 19, Let's Foodie, a free recipe generator. It's super simple. You just type in the ingredients you have lying around your kitchen or that you want to use up and it will generate a personalized recipe for you to try. It's a really great way to use up random leftover food that you have in your fridge. And you can also try out these other recipe generators as well to see which 1 makes the food that you like the most.

App 20 Soundful, a free AI music generator. It's honestly super easy. You just create a free account and then pick a genre of music. Soundful will generate a song for you. If you don't like it, you can just click to create a new preview and now a new song will be generated.

And once you have a song that you like, you can make changes to it, such as slowing it down or speeding up the beat. Soundful has, in my opinion, the best free license right now for content creators, which is why they won for me. And you can try out these other free ones as well. Just be sure to check the licensing rules for their free accounts. Now, I personally think that it's absolutely insane that we can generate new music now with the click of a button.
