Do you want to know the secret that made Amazon, PayPal and other businesses wildly successful?

And it's not the offer, the marketing or even the ability to outspend the competitors.

You can have the best rod, boat, equipment, go at the best time and have a unique strategy.

But if you're in a pond with 100 plus other fishermen that's a red ocean and naturally it's just going to be harder to catch fish but let's look at a lake where no fisherman has been ever even with basic equipment you're going to catch some whoppers and that's what we call a blue ocean niche.

And I'm gonna break down how this applies to you as an agency or an online business.

How you can pick and dominate a niche like no 1 else.

Most fall at the first hurdle without realizing this because people think the best niches are b2b, sas, ecom or worse, they don't fully commit to a niche.

And you've probably started working on the 100 million dollar offers, no brainer offers, but most entrepreneurs overlook the niche in the offer and it's 50 percent, 50 percent of the offer is the what and the other 50% is the niche.

And the what you are proposing to the who is your business.

If you only focus on the what and not the who, your business will only be half as good.

And that is why if you're not specific about the niche selection, it's near impossible to build a no-brainer offer.

The QoO framework will provide a simple plan of action that if you're not sure about where to begin or if you have questions about the niche that you're in make sure to stick around to the end too because I'm actually going to share with you the niches that are crushing it for our GPs.

What do Amazon, PayPal, Jim launch all have in common?

Amazon started with books, then expanded to everything.

PayPal started with eBay users, then expanded to everything.

And Mosey started with Jim's, then expanded into private equity, investing in all types of businesses.

See, where we start is not where we end up.

However, we must commit to 1 thing until we've made at least our first million, then we can expand.

But what if a client offers me more money to help them.

And you know you kind of want that money but they're not in the niche.

Well I can help everyone with my service, you know I do Facebook ads.

What if I pick something that doesn't work?

See most people are over analyzing and actually don't pick a niche because of the fear of missing out But if you haven't selected a niche, and your business is not where you want it to be, I'm telling you this is the reason why.

See, we often look for perfection rather than progress.

And this is very common in smart people and marketers.

So much analysis paralysis and not enough action.

It's better to actually start something and get it wrong for 2 weeks than procrastinate for 2 months.

So don't overthink because you'll actually learn once you start pitching your offer and providing the services.

So start with a smaller market because you can always expand later and you can charge more at the start because you're a specialist who delivers better results.

Don't overthink it, don't worry about it.

Research for 2 weeks, then focus on the niche for 2 months.

And this leads us to step 2, understanding.

Because committing without understanding may take you down the wrong path, and it'll end up taking you longer to build an insanely profitable business and a no-brainer offer.

Write your thoughts down on paper, pen and paper, so you can get new ideas and insights.

The questions you need to help you understand are, 1, who have you worked with in the past or who are you working with now?

Even if it's from a job, you might have worked in the HR department for a specific type of organisation.

Let's also document what we like working on, who we like working with.

Do we like sports, games, trading, charity, non-for-profits?

Question 3, what characteristics do these have in common?

Are they looking to expand into new platforms?

Do they have YouTube ads but it's not working very well?

And question 4, what are their members of?

Let's start and look for similarities and where these people start to hang out.

These 4 questions working through are gonna give you some deep insights and start to create a picture.

See, everyone wants to work with B2B SaaS, coaches, Infra Product, AECOM, because it's sexy, but it's also super saturated.

Something that's helped me is working with more established clients, formal educational institutions within the UK.

If you bring modern marketing to an untapped niche, like Dan, 1 of our GPs, you can get 100k checks in the post.

Which e-com stores are giving you 100k checks?

See, all e-com brands, for example, are following the latest market trends.

It's literally 90% of what running an e-com store is.

So pitching gross services to e-com stores, you might be able to move them from a 70% to an 80%, but if you're working with 50-year-old lawyers who don't know anything about internet marketing, by applying even the basic principles correctly, you can get them insane returns.

For example, if you can move a 50-year-old lawyer from a 5% to a 55% on the marketing scale, the e-com 1 is a 15% increase, the lawyer 1 is a 1,000% increase.

So don't try to be cool, pick the cool niche.

None of that works so far without step 3, which is research.

So to Give yourself the confidence that you've selected the most profitable niche.

80% talking to real people, 20% doing online research.

Research similar people and companies that have common characteristics to what you understood in step 2.

Then create a list of these people, 100 to 1,000, using LinkedIn, Google specific sites, Apollo.io.

For me, it was 2 organizations in my sector, which is FE Week and AELP.

But beware, most people stop at this stage, which doesn't give them the full confidence to actually commit to the niche and make real money.

And a bit of additional effort at this stage is going to give you an unfair advantage forever more.

So do the unscalable things, and this is the 80%.

Start reaching out to the people in the niche with a personalized message, that you're either writing a report or white paper for the market, and you want to gain their insights because they're an industry leader and you're wanting to learn more about the market.

I use a state-of-the-industry report, and I reach out to multiple people, and actually, multiple of them turn into clients.

So use channels like emails, calls, social media, attend conferences, ask for introductions from your network, and treat it as if you're a scientist, if you're looking to create a hypothesis, not to be right or wrong, so remove any prejudgment that you might have and go into research mode.

Aim to get the conversation going with the prospect and then ask them to get on a call with you and try to get a minimum of 5 people on to a call because the research that you're going to get when you're speaking to these people and their insights you'll start to see patterns and you're going to be on your way to selecting the best niche and making a no-brainer offer.

When speaking to the prospects, ask about 10 questions so you can learn much more about them, their goals, their problems, kind of like a discovery call.

Have cash flow and have a real business, 2.

Have happy clients and case studies which shows they have product market fit.

And 3, 1 to grow their business, you're on your way to identifying a niche that you can create a lot of profits for.

And I would honestly avoid any unstable and unethical people because they will drain your energy and resources and work with good people to get referrals and case studies.

At the end I'm going to share the list of niches that are working for our GPs but let's finish on step 4 so I can give you the way to define your Blue Ocean strategy.

Start with a list where the prospects were.

It's a bonus if you like working with them, and don't get too caught up on perfect segmentation on for example Apollo to find the perfect vertical with the right keyword and stuff like that.

If you think about it differently, for example like where are our clients selling to?

So they might all sell into care homes, hospitals, realtors, governments.

They might all use a specific type of software, Microsoft, Salesforce, HubSpot.

Are they relying on Facebook ads but don't have YouTube ads working?

Are they a founder who wants to grow out their personal channel, start a YouTube or a podcast?

You know, do they want to use their series A?

Are they looking to hire a sales director, an SDR, a marketing director, a COO?

See, looking at this opportunity unconventionally creates a blue ocean with 0 competition rather than Econ, B2B, SaaS.

So now take action implementing the QE framework.

Do your research and then identify your blue ocean.

And as promised, these are the niches that are crushing it for our GPs.

Web3, companies who are launching products and their products can be quite hard to understand.

IT consulting and cybersecurity, very competitive but very lucrative.

Creative market agencies run by directors who are above 40 years old.

Software development companies who are looking to grow into North America.

That's a list of 8 but don't copy from that.

That's just an example so you can get some ideas.

See choosing a niche improves the market and in the sales allowing you to charge higher prices and deliver a better service.

And a higher quality service is your cater long-term success because as you grow your business you need to deliver what you are selling and if you're selling the same what to the same who the delivery and your success is scalable and that's what we want.

The what is your offer, the offer is unique for your who and your who is your niche and remember the riches are in the riches.
