2 months ago, Elizabeth was working a depressing full-time job as an admin assistant when she stumbled across a video about becoming a growth partner.

Today, she just signed a $75, 000 client with 0 experience in 0 case studies, all because of the Growth Partner Model.

So today, we'll break down exactly how it's possible to go from working a depressing 9-5 job with literally no knowledge or experience to closing a $75, 000 deal.

Thank you very much for joining us to share your experience working with me, my team and the growth partner in the Growth Partner Accelerator.

Can you give a bit of an introduction to yourself, what you've done, a little bit about your business?

So I'm Elizabeth and I joined roughly 2 months ago now, so yeah mid June, nearly 3 months ago now, mid June, it's now nearly mid September and basically what my business is, is that I am B2C, so what I do is that I'm a growth partner with the biggest medical company in Europe and the UK.

And what I essentially do is support them to help them get more patients.

Usually it is doubling their patient growth within 12 months.

And yeah, it's just been an amazing journey so far, learning to do that, because I had a lot of differences and different challenges between then and now.

Can you, I know you have some marketing experience before we started working together.

You said you've kind of transferred into a growth partner, working with B2B companies, helping them on the B2C side.

Can you share a little bit about your experience of where you were and how you transitioned to become a growth partner?

So where I was, the first half of 2023 was horrible.

I was trying to be a consultant, I was trying to help loads of smaller startups, I was trying to, you know, help VCs, I was just trying to be more consultative and just giving my advice to as many startups as possible.

That definitely wasn't profitable for me, so I ended up doing a lot of free work, I did a lot of free workshops.

I did a lot of free, free, free, free, free to get people in the door, for people to know me, for people to like me, for them to say I don't have any money.

And yeah, 1 day I just saw Jacob's 1 hour, 22 minutes marketing session YouTube video.

I didn't look for it, but it was obviously God saying you need help.

And I looked here and that was in May, and I watched every single YouTube there and thereafter.

And I wonder, I just thought, in fact, the 1 thing that told me I need to listen to you lot is your case study video of yourselves.

You and Jacob talking about how you grew, how you started.

The best video in terms of what you did I've ever seen.

I even had to comment saying you lot are amazing, it was so detailed, people can actually steal what you're saying, and I just thought there's so much transparency and so much honesty here, there has to be something to you guys, and then a few weeks later I booked a call with Ian, and then yeah, things changed, and yeah, from there it was very rocky at the start of the live, but from there, at least I was in the program.

So can you share a little bit about sort of that transition in terms of even the rockiness in terms of, you know, coming in, committing to something, like you said, you trying to find your feet at the start of

we're doing some consultant work, you know, a lot of people that do some consultancy, some agency work, how did that start to transpire into the sort of growth partner, what you have now, and then we'll get into where you think you wanna take it.

That's why I would rather give free information value than do the work because I just didn't like the model.

Another issue I had was that Growth Planet kept preaching B2B and to do B2B services.

I never wanted to do B2B, I wanted to do B2C.

So I felt like, oh, is this right for me?

And to be completely transparent, there wasn't many girls, women, I should say, on your case studies, in fact any, so I thought okay is this only for men, do you know bro marketing, cigars, smoking, like is it just going to be a scenario, an environment where I'm not going to feel comfortable or it's going to be so 1 way where I'm just going to be feeling alienated.

So those kind of things were really, really stopping me.

But when I spoke to Ian, when I had the sales call, he said, you know what, you know, it's not that kind of environment at all.

But I still had the B to C issue and I still had the resistance to the way growth partner, the services we do as a growth partner, because it is done for you mainly, right?

But I'm just saying it's a growth partner.

I've had really bad experience doing in the work and people saying, oh, these are not good enough, the leads aren't good enough, et cetera, et cetera.

So I had a lot of resistance, which I didn't really say much about for 3, 4 weeks and then I got sick of myself and I said Elizabeth snap out of it, you're being silly and then I had to do a lot of deep reflection and understanding and I just had to break through all of those objections like am I going to do B2B?

And when I started hearing what you and the team, the way you explained what a growth partner is, the frame, the type of clients we get, those were all my issues.

It was everything else that I was allowing to happen that was the issue.

So I was able to diagnose what my issues were in past and building with my consultative experience, I understood how to create an offer.

I understand how to build a unique mechanism.

I understand how to make things sound like people want to join because as a done with you provider, you have to get people to get involved more than done for you.

So I tried to find power within myself from what you are teaching me from my experiences and that's when the shift turned and then a few days after that I was able to meet my first client virtually.

He wasn't a client then obviously but from there I just felt like all the stars aligned and then that's my first client closed.

Super interesting that you said that because Stephen, another 1 of our case studies, and you met Stephen at the face-to-face event.

I think those first 2 to 3 weeks for Stephen from what he was saying were the most challenging because it is a little bit of a change of approach and the mind automatically has resistance against new things.

In terms of that journey, You mentioned as well that you've sort of invested in yourself before, in terms of programs, courses, mentoring, and that feeling potentially secluded in a male-dominated environment, and even sector, 1 could sort of argue.

I just wanna understand, you know, with those, because those are fairly big blockers for people, you know, as someone listening to this, might have that same sort of doubt or might manifest as something else, but there might be some levels of doubt there.

Can you just share your experience of like how you kind of work through that?

You mentioned that you kind of had a word with yourself, but very practically, you know, after sort of making the commitment and being like I'm going to learn you mentioned that a couple of points which I think are super interesting is the growth partners 1 part but what we actually work with you on is building the whole business you know it's the

it's it's actually building a business and the growth partner is the term in the vehicle, but it's actually, in my opinion, how to become and how to be a better business owner in a very basic way.

So can you share a little bit about how you sort of transitioned a little bit about today as well, coming out of the job and really into your own business.

I think that's, for me, it's super inspiring.

I think when you posted the wins in the channel, I think it was probably 1 of the most popular ones.

So yeah, I had a word with myself and what helped me have a word with myself is that every day there's a coaching call very themed, differently themed.

All the other programs I've been in has just been purely sales and marketing and separately mindset.

So I've been having mindset coaching separately and then I'll be having sales and marketing advice or, you know, do this, do that.

So my mindset was in 1 way, my sales and marketing was okay.

And I always wanted to do bigger clients anyway.

And I've tried to look up corporate staff and it's just nothing was quite right.

So when I joined Growth Partner, when there, as there was calls every day, I've never had any coaching programme that has calls every day, by the way, that this is the most.

So there was a lot more content to go through.

So there was a lot more, almost like, it was easier to understand how you operate because there's a lot more content to go through and to listen to.

So sometimes Jordan when you have your Friday calls I'll be like oh my gosh this is so good, like I've actually had to screenshot and just look at myself and I've never had that in a business coaching program, I've never had that, like I've never screenshot it and said to my husband, oh my gosh, this is so good, ever.

So those types of reflections I was getting from the coaching pool forced me to look at myself properly and say, Elizabeth, what are you doing?

And all the other case studies I've listened to, I listened to them in the coaching program as I was new, as I wasn't there, because I needed to borrow belief.

I could not engineer enough belief yet to believe that I was going to get a client soon, ever, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera, honestly.

So I listened to the most popular ones and I listened to the worst ones, the ones where they had no money and invested everything in it like David.

Because I had to borrow belief, I really did, that you don't understand.

I probably take up 50% of the video views on that video because I just had to condition myself.

So early July I started doing a take on, okay, what do I need coaching on?

And what is the actual blockers that are real blockers.

So when I counted everything I found my power because the blockers I had were, they weren't sufficient, they didn't have any standing and all the help I needed I could get from 1 place which is I've never had before which is obviously Growth Partner so I became more active I became more open with what I needed with the unique challenges you know B2C you know all of these things I really really really tried to engage more and not just listen and take it in.

So because of that, it was just made things so much easier and I became myself.

I used to feel like I have to give free information for 10 hours just to get someone to be a client.

But now I understood the growth partner model and I thought it really is the best model.

So a few weeks of just being the identity of a growth partner, acting like it, feeling like it, expressing it.

I had a mutual friend who wanted advice, like a board advisory advice from a marketing standpoint.

And the other person, 1 of the other board members was actually my prospect, who at the time wasn't, we didn't know each other.

I was speaking, just sharing what I believe.

And halfway through that call, board meeting call, he said, Elizabeth, can I talk to you for a second?

And that was a very quick close to the point where we had the discovery call.

On Friday, I'm sorry, Thursday, we agreed on Tuesday they would tell me whether it was going to be yes or no.

But on the Thursday after the call, half an hour later, he said, Elizabeth, we need to talk to you tomorrow, Friday, can you talk to us?

So they actually sped up the amount of time between the sales call and saying yes, because the energy was sustained, we understood each other and there was no way, no way I would have got the terms, I would have understood, I would have gotten the right growth plan without you and the team.

No way, I've never asked for how much I've asked for up front in a contract, not even about an eyelid, without Growth Partner.

And because I really, really wanted to close this client, Jordan, you remember you had a session the day before my sales call about reviewing growth plans and there wasn't enough time for mine and you said can you Elizabeth can you do yours next week?

I said no my call's tomorrow please I was begging and you did it on loom and it was so helpful it was so helpful and that's what closed my client so again I've never had that much help I've never been I've never had been in a program where you've been that responsive and flexible.

You could have just said, Elizabeth's closed.

So for you just to give that energy and to give that to me, That was the other 10% I needed in order for it to be a hell yes.

And then, like I said, they came back to me quicker.

And because of that, I was able to quit my job.

And today is what I call the best, the first day of the best day of my life, because it's the first day I have no job because I'm able to be a growth partner full-time.

I think hopefully this will inspire a lot of people, it definitely does me.

In terms of that deal, you obviously had sales market and you were doing some stuff on the side, you were learning with us but you were having to work.

Is it just been 1 deal that's enabled you to exit your job and replace that income and can you share any of the details on the deal?

I know we're going to keep the client independent just for the purposes of confidentiality and stuff.

But is there any sort of details that you can share around the sort of income side, what you're looking to generate from that, and then we'll get into what you're looking for in the future as well.

So it's a 60k deal for the year and plus a

you know initial money and then I've got 10% rev share of all the new patients that come in but the great thing is is that 1 thing they're really excited about is doing mergers and acquisitions.

So there's so much in the pipeline for us to work together to do mergers and acquisitions for investments, similar to your story, right?

There was much, there's much bigger plans than just being static in the growth partner.

And they're so excited to do that because I feel like they have the right person to do that and to tell me they want to do that so early on, yeah it's crazy.

So I'm looking forward to that, just serving them as much as possible and doing mergers and acquisitions and supporting other people, you know, for them to pay whatever they need to do to get other, you know, companies within our system and just doing the same thing I'm doing, but at scale, because they really want to help more people live a better and healthier life, and that's why they want to grow, and yeah, to be a part of that mission is amazing.

Wow, so it seems like your position did a quite a high level there, but you're actually using a lot of the skills and capabilities that you already had and you've now put it into a vehicle where people are starting to not just notice and identify but also to buy from you

For someone you know maybe who's just new to understanding what a growth partner is, maybe an agency owner, or someone who's been doing consultancy, maybe someone who works in a business who's looking to do their own.

What are maybe the 2 or 3 things that really changed the game for you?

I know you mentioned kind of the sales process and the growth plans, and the deal structure is very different.

But what were some of those big things where like, you know, actually by changing this, by doing this, and by looking at these things actually really helped you to drive forward.

Yeah, so 1, understanding what it means to be a growth partner in its true identity.

1 thing you say a lot, which is counterintuitive, is that, yes, results are important, so is the business, the relationship you have with your clients.

So I really have made sure that I have a good relationship with these people to the point where I've already, I've already been there 3 weeks.

I've bought them gifts, birthday gifts, books.

I, you know, give them playlists of business or things to help them learn to get to the next level.

I really, really, really want to manage the relationship and make sure they're good.

And I've already introduced them to people that have access to family offices and VCs because I really want them to see me as a partner that's looking out for them.

So that's 1 thing which I really focus on intentionally, which I didn't always have to before or need to or think that I had to before.

Another thing is just the frame of, not just the frame, but how I position what I do.

So the unique mechanism, again, because I'm from the consultative world, I understood that was important, but for you to reaffirm that in a done for you kind of way was really good and really nice and the way you do it, there were some videos I had to record of you talking straight for 10 minutes, talking about how to position this to a sales manager, to a marketing manager, to a partner, to a prospector, because the way you express things, it makes people want to buy because it serves them.

And it just took a while for me to get used to the kind of language.

So I think that was very, very beautiful.

And another thing as well is, yes, my first client didn't come from me sending a cold DM, but what I've had is that I'm online, especially on LinkedIn, I post a lot of content.

So similar to how I came to you, I wouldn't have come to you if you didn't have content.

So I've had people book calls and people look out and research me for my LinkedIn.

And I've been posting very relevant health content for years, right, and months and etc.

So just being the person online, as a growth partner, and acting like it when I didn't even have the right terminology before I met you really helped as well.

So it does speed up the sales process as well because I had no case studies.

It's not as if I've worked in the industry before.

And also as well, they were looking at other people.

It wasn't just me they were looking at, but 1 thing the partner said is that no 1 blew him out of his, blew him out of the water and I promised I would with my energy, my commitment, even my past job experiences that were somewhat translatable.

I put everything I could into serving, doing that sales process that you don't need to, that everyone can do, whether they have experience or not.

So I think that's the third thing and obviously this relates back to the belief in myself.

Before I had to talk with myself, I didn't believe I had, I believe I was going to fail because I had no case studies.

I believe I had to charge 2K a month because I had no case studies.

When I spoke to myself, I remembered I had jobs that I could translate back to the growth plan and why I feel like this is a good idea.

And I even did third party case studies because I thought what is a way to show my expertise?

But I was creative, I was able to flow, I was able to be creative because I knew the vehicle works and I knew that I had enough to give this person and I did.

And what were some of the things that, you know, you got value from being in the accelerator?

Like you said, you had some market experience.

Where did you get the most value from and where are you getting the most value?

Because I know you're, this is, I'm excited to record the next case study breakdown with you in the next sort of 3 to 6 months.

have you received the most, you know, value from?

You mentioned that it's, you know, quite different in terms of the level of support, in terms of the level of engagement, but what were some of those things for you that really...

Yeah, so honestly, obviously the actual programme and the information that you give is really good.

But the Friday cause, again, I didn't have enough belief, I didn't understand, I was really pushing back against the model I wanted, as opposed to model that, you know, you tell people to do.

So your Friday calls just about executive leadership.

I've never been in executive leadership before.

It wasn't just like, oh, believe in yourself.

So you don't say, you know, go in, hustle culture, all of that stuff.

So there was a lot of ways, wisdom that you give, which I've never had in a coaching program.

And the good thing about having, and I needed that until, not until, I still need that now, but I was severely under-lacking with my belief and how to manage oneself until I got my first client.

But now I've got the other coaching, sorry, the other coaching program.

So I've got Kate who does client delivery.

So now I can use those campaigns with my client.

Like now I can utilize all the other things because I'm at the stage where I need them and I believe I can use them.

So what I love about this is not just about sales and marketing because at the end of the day, once you get that dialed in, you have that dialed in.

But now I know that I can focus on Kate a bit more or focus on you a bit more, because now I have different challenges, right?

Focus on Jacob a bit more, focus on anything I need, because everything is there.

I wasn't always in the same niche as well.

So it's just the fact that the community as well, other people have changed their niche, people are open, people are just able to express where they need help, where they're like, okay, I'm not the only 1.

Because sometimes when you listen to only leaders, you always forget or you may not realize what they did in the past.

But when you're seeing someone do it live and then they get a win, it's just like, there's no way I can fail.

Like it just stops my self-conscious from just like sabotaging my results.

And yeah, it's me and my self-conscious are doing a much better job now working together.

It's so interesting that you've dug into the personal growth side a lot on this session because for me that's my biggest passion.

The business is often a reflection on the CEO.

So if the CEO is not in good form, not aligned and not in a growth state, then it's going to be very hard for the business to do that.

So I think that a huge part of your success in a very short period of time, but what's yet to come is going to be heavily influenced and supported by the amount of personal growth that you've done.

And I think that can't be understated in terms of how valuable that is.

And that is way more important, in my opinion, than money, because once you have that, it becomes very easy to make money it becomes then okay well how do I want to make money who do I want to work with who do I want to serve and I think that that is the that then becomes a very interesting conversation.

So it's great to hear how much your confidence and capabilities have grown.

Can you share a little bit about where you see this business building and what's next now that you're your first day officially sort of in the new business without any you know jobs and fully independent which is a incredible milestone that most people never will never achieve in their life but I know this is step 1 so what do the what does the next steps look like?

Yeah there's no way I cannot achieve 100k in a month.

Again, I couldn't even fathom, I couldn't even say that before, like a few weeks ago, but now it's just so clear.

And again, like every day, I am, there's just new beliefs that I'm either stop believing because it doesn't serve me or reinstalling because it does.

So yeah, like, already, I've just gotten so much traction.

I've got loads of, you know, sales calls and opportunities coming up.

There's no way I won't break 7 figures in a year.

It's just inevitable, or run rate at least.

And just to have a team, just to have other people supporting me, and of course, serving my clients to the best of my ability because at the end of the day we are helping patients.

So I just can't wait to have patients see the outcomes of what we're doing now.

I know we had a little growth partner meetup a couple of weeks ago and we got the opportunity to all be together, do some sessions and also connect in a more informal way than just online, which for me is super important because it helps build trust, rapport.

If you build trust and rapport, you can get, you can achieve more things together.

Whereas if you don't trust and you don't have that rapport, it's very hard to build.

It's very hard to buy off someone who you don't trust.

It's very hard to listen to someone who you don't trust, in my opinion.

Can you share a little bit about the people meeting, more people from the Growth Partner Team, different, I'm incredibly honored with the community that we've started to build.

I think absolutely some excellent entrepreneurs in the in the accelerator and in the mastermind.

Can you share a little bit about that experience, who you met, how you felt as well?

So I know that you mentioned you're in terms of, you felt it might be a bit male dominated, kind of cigars and stuff like that.

We had Shisha instead, but actually, for me, we're all sort of equal.

No one's better or worse than anyone, no matter how much money you make.

But can you share your experience of, you know, meeting our team and meeting some of the other, you know, growth partners?

And I think 1 of the reasons why people aren't successful is because we isolate ourselves.

Where actually, if we were part of the 5 chimps, if you're around people who are winning, you're going to accidentally start winning.

But can you share a little bit about sort of how you felt?

Yeah, I think 1 word that sums up is like it was a genuine day.

So you would like everyone was so given, like he was, Matt was, Jacob was, like Everyone was just so able, so willing to give information and to serve and say, how can I help you?

There's people there that have young children that have different circumstances.

So learning that, seeing people eye to eye, meeting people, understanding people was so beautiful.

And meeting the team, meeting you, Jordan, you are even a ball of fire person, like you have so much energy, just love it.

Like I think, yeah, it's just crazy, like yeah, it's so nice to have energy transferred into you and for you to pour into us.
