And if you're new to this channel, I talk a lot about trading and investing in the Philippine stock market.

And Gstocks is 1 of the newest in the industry.

To make this more organized, these are the things we'll talk about.

We will talk about G-Stocks overview and getting started.

I will walk you through the step-by-step.

And we will do commissions comparison with other brokers.

Before we start, just a disclaimer that investing in stocks is a risky and volatile investment type.

So if you're going to take this path, do your due diligence, do your research, manage your risk because you don't want to be putting your money to something that you don't understand.

For those of you who don't know what Gstocks is, It was mentioned in September 2022 and I posted something like this.

So essentially, G-Stocks is an online retail securities trading services made available to G-Cash users.

It was made possible by or made accessible by AB Capital Securities.

AB Capital Securities is 1 of the licensed and legit online stockbrokers.

It partnered with Gcash to make it more accessible for Filipinos to have an online broker and invest in Philippine stocks.

So rather than opening an account in ABA Capital Securities, you can do it through your GCash app.

So by having that, the basic features of the broker like portfolio access, stock watchlist, direct reports, real-time quotes, intraday charts, Philippine Stock Exchange news, it's already there.

Next is what do you need to know if you want to start, if you want to sign up with G-Stocks on GCash.

According to their site, you need to be at least 18 years old.

You need to be a Filipino citizen living in the Philippines.

So if not, what it says here, if you're an OFW or C-Man, you can still apply as long as you have a social security number and tax identification number.

If you don't have a tax identification number, I have a blog about that.

So just go to the description below and just follow that.

1 OFW also gave me that instruction and I made a blog so you can just follow that.

Next is if you are a foreigner, you can still apply as long as the valid government ID you submit when you sign up is your passport.

Next is that you need to be a fully verified GCash user because you will be using their platform, right?

You need to also have updated your GCash information in the last 2 years because that's what they will use for the KYC or know your customer.

And then be ready with just 1 valid government ID.

Next point is that we will create an account step by step.

I still don't have an account on Gstox so we'll do this together.

So your Gcash, when you click G-Invest, you'll choose GstoxPH and it will route you here.

And that's what I explained earlier about G-Stocks and AB Capital Securities.

And right now, it says that it's on beta for AB Capital Security.

Then, you will be redirected to the online trading of AB Capital Security.

So what we will use for this video tutorial is the basic.

The full G-Stocks PH account is upgraded.

And after this video, I will show you that I also tried it.

Here in the basic, it says we should prepare a photo of your signature.

So I just prepared a paper with 3 signatures and later I will just take a picture of it.

In here, my basic information is already plugged in because my GCash account is updated and fully verified.

So I didn't put these info, it's already automatic.

Step 2 of 3 is that it will upload an image with 3 sample signatures.

This is basic for even other stockbrokers in the Philippines.

And the last 1 is, you will agree to their 3 disclosure agreements and data sharing agreements read this guys, this is important in our life this customer consent to enable re-trading if ever you want to buy REITs here, it's already included in the initial consent that we agree on.

When you want to buy REIT here in G-Stocks, you already gave consent prior.

And then it will automatically check after you read it.

And it says here, your application is sent to AB Capital.

And what's written here, to avoid account closure, please top up your trading wallet within 90 days of approval.

And we encourage you to invest at least P1,000 to jumpstart your trading journey.

And this offer is for a limited time only.

So we don't know how much their minimum is to top up.

Okay, so I did this on a Friday and I received this email after we went through that.

It said, and I received the next email on a Monday so it's less than 3 banking days.

It said my account has been approved and will be activated within 24 hours.

I would say the experience to signing up is easy especially if you have the requirements and your Gcash is fully verified, it's easier to do.

So now I will show you the contents once it's activated.

You can see the portfolio value, the combination of cash and stocks amount in your trading account next you have the stock value, the value of the currently holding stocks.

This is the available money that you can buy from the stocks.

And when you top-up, it takes 1 business day before it goes into your G-stocks.

So if we try to upgrade, so that's the full, right?

So here, there's only step 3 or 5 that you can do so employment type let's just choose tin we will also put and then the sss or gsis is optional next is the build your investor profile when you open to another online broker, they will also ask you the same question.

So just answer it and then same, we will agree again on the consent like before.

After I consented everything, when I clicked submit, it took 10 minutes or more than 10 minutes then I gave up I don't know if your internet is slow or the gcash itself because peak hours I did this like 10 am 10 30 am so I'm not sure if that's it so if there's anyone of you watching this and you bypassed the full features let me know in the chat so that's the full, we're still on the basic until now I think the only difference is because of the top up amount so here, let's try to top up and how much would you like to add to your trading wallet then click next then it will reflect on the next banking day so let's see if it's really that long And guys, I also tried to top up on 2TradeAsia after this.

And the good thing is, it went in after 2 hours.

I also tried to compare so that maybe someone will ask if it's the same for other brokers.

Now let's go to the buying and selling here on Gstocks.

If you click on buy and sell here on the stock value, you will connect to PSE TradeX.

And 1 thing I noticed is that it connects to AB Security and AB Capital, and it connects to the platform when you buy and sell on TradeX.

So I compared it to that because in other brokers, in other platforms, it's all there because you don't have to route to other places.

Although, nothing is required for us as a user because there, it signed on successfully.

I'm just thinking what if 1 of them goes down there.

Anyway, let's go to the buying and selling.

When you log in, you will see the top 30 companies right away.

Then, below, you have your portfolio, then your orders, and then alerts.

Let's go back to the market, and then let's try the menu up here.

So you have the top 30 and then there are board lot stocks.

Again, the board lot is the minimum number of shares.

So if it's 10 by 10s, 5 by 5s, the odd lot is if it's 10 and you want to buy it for 8 shares.

So let's try to search for Globe because we're using GCash.

Although we haven't credited our top-up yet.

Because it's still 1 day but let's try I also want to try to show you if this globe will give dividends maybe we can reach it so it didn't reach for this video so let's try to buy again this is the boardlot by fives I'm trying to click the plus sign here, but it doesn't want to.

I don't know what's the problem with that.

The validity and the order type, it's not going to change.

So don't worry about that if you're a beginner.

The share price that came out there is the current market price.

Now you can change the price depending on how much you want to buy the globe.

We will change it to 1857 and this is its fees 54.78.

Now I tried to do the same in 2TradeAsia and this is the fees.

Taxes, commissions, and fees are on their website and then it's on 2TradeAsia's other broker.

So this is where it jumps to the PSE transaction fees.

It's very close and very similar to standard taxes on other brokers as well.

Now, I will give you my thoughts on Gstocks as someone who has used other brokers to trade and invest in the Philippine stock market.

So, let's start with the pros, the good things about it.

And I really like how GCash made it accessible to all Filipinos.

Because imagine if you usually give instructions to someone on how to invest or start investing in the Philippine stock market.

You have to open a broker, then you have to fund it.

Even before, it was harder because when it wasn't online you had to submit or print the requirements then you have to send it to their office.

Now it's online and GCash made it even better and simpler for Filipinos who already have an existing Gcash account.

Next is, the minimum top-up to start is also cheap, which is 1,000.

1 of the brokers that has a minimum of 1,000 is COL Financial.

So that is another way for G-Stocks to make it accessible to all Filipinos, the low top-up.

Although they said that for a limited time only, so it could be lower than that or higher than that, I don't know.

But right now, that's what they've put as an amount.

And then third is, it's not overwhelming for someone to start.

If you're going to invest, you're not really going to trade.

And I think that's a beginner-friendly platform that you can start with.

It's already given what you need to do on the platform.

When you want to buy, when you want to sell, when you want to search for stocks, it's already there.

Anytime, you can top up and withdraw just using the same account.

Some of my concern as a user then, which I mentioned earlier part of the video is 1, you're kind of connecting to other platforms, it's not just 1 platform.

So let's say Gcash is down, how will I log in or if AB Capital is down, The system is not perfect even for other brokers.

But it has gone through a lot of things, technically.

I don't know if sometimes the volume is high or low when trading.

How reliable is the broker when you need to log in and withdraw.

I had an experience with a broker that it's hard to outbid the stock because it happened that it logged in or hung.

It's better, of course, as investors, that your money withdraws quickly, that it deposits quickly, that the transaction is seamless.

1 day is not bad, it's okay to have a lead time or wait time.

It could be better if, like other stockbrokers, it withdraws quickly and deposits quickly.

I don't know why it took more than 10 minutes if it's just my internet or the app is not yet updated for the upgrade.
