In the cold night of January 2020, I was startled by my doorbell ringing.

Glancing out the window, I spotted 3 youngsters racing toward their car.

Fear for my family overtook me and I jumped in my vehicle, accelerating to over 100 miles an hour to pursue them.

I caught up and rammed into them as hard as possible, sending their car spiraling off the road into a tree.

Seeing the heavy damage, I retreated home, my plan a success.

However, the day took a grim turn when the police arrived at my doorstep.

They informed me that all 3 boys had died, and I was charged with 3 counts of murder and 3 counts of attempted murder.

I tried to explain that my actions were in self-defense and fuelled by the fear I felt for my family, not to mention the alcohol influencing my judgment.

Despite my pleas, I was convicted and handed a life sentence without parole.
